To help students develop the virtue of compassion, the Service Learning Programme has been introduced to F.3 and F.4 students since 2018. The two-year programme provides chances for students to take part in a variety of charity work.
Through this programme, students can:
● understand the needs of others
● show respect, love and care to the needy
● help others with the knowledge they have learned in school
● gain life experiences that cannot be learnt from textbooks
● develop a stronger sense of belonging and responsibility towards our community
● explore their own potential
It has long been a tradition for our students to perform social service. Our school launched the Service Learning Programme in 2018 to enhance students’ commitment to serving the community, nurturing leadership qualities, and instilling empathy and kindness in the students. All F.4 students are requested to complete a certain number of service learning hours or a particular number of service learning activities by the end of the school year.
The Service Learning Team jointly organizes a wide range of service learning activities, the Community Youth Club (CYC), Volunteers of TSK (VOT), Civic Education Team, Environmental Education Team and PE Department. The following activities have been organized for the students these past few years:
