Why study Home Economics

Home Economics (also called Technology and Living in some schools) can improve the quality of life for pupils. In this subject, pupils learn about food, clothing, home, and family, which contribute to teenagers’ growth. 

Home Economics provides pupils with skills in managing family finances, nutrition, cooking, and other life skills. Pupils learn about cooking and safety, but also learn responsibility in the family and society as well. They use the techniques learned in class and apply them in their daily lives.
