Respect for ALL
Date: 03/11/2025
To promote inclusiveness and foster mutual respect among students, our school held a two-week programme under the theme “Respect for ALL” from 20 to 31 October 2025. A variety of learning activities were organized to encourage students to appreciate diversity and be respectful in everyday life.
During the fortnight, F.2 students participated in the STEAM X Values Education Programme, in which they attended a meaningful drama performance. The performance featured individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair users, visually impaired, and hearing-impaired speakers, who shared adapted stories based on their personal experiences. Afterwards, students took part in a Human Library session, engaging directly with these members to learn about their life challenges and the importance of empathy and understanding.
A Talk on the Basic Law was also arranged for all F.1 to F.3 students. A solicitor from the Law Society of Hong Kong explained key concepts of the Basic Law to enhance students’ awareness of their civic responsibilities and rights as citizens.
To further promote respect through creativity, the Moral, Civic and National Education Committee and the Visual Arts Department jointly organized a File Design Competition on the theme “Respect”. The winning designs, submitted by 2C Lo Wing Yee, 2D Lau Yat Ching, 2D Ng Cheuk Kiu Lucas, and 3D Ho Cheuk Yi, were printed on file folders distributed to all staff and students, symbolizing the spirit of respect in our school.
In addition, the F.1 Inter-class Picture Book Storytelling Competition provided students with the opportunity to express a respectful attitude through storytelling. The Environmental Education Committee also incorporated the idea of respect for the environment by organizing an activity on upcycling capsule toys into mini terrariums, promoting sustainable living among students.
Through these meaningful activities, students have deepened their understanding of respect for people, the community, and the environment, paving the way for a more caring and harmonious campus.
